Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s Operations Team is proud to announce the appointment of Roy Ferretiz as the National Director of Expansion for the 2018 – 2021 administration. Vice President of Operations Ruben Hernandez spoke on his excitement to work with Ferretiz.

“We are very pleased to bring Roy on-board with our team,” he said.  “Roy shares a common vision of organizational growth, and we’re very optimistic about how the expansion plan will help us selectively and successfully grow within a 3 to 5-year timeframe.  Roy will be a great first-step representative for us as he will frequently meet with potential interest groups, campus advisors and campuses.  We’re looking forward to good things from Roy.”

Roy crossed in the Fall of 2013 and held various chapter positions while attending UT Arlington. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Psychology in the Fall of 2016. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Higher Education at Texas Tech University, with an expected graduation of Fall 2020.

“Roy is a Brother I’ve seen mature both in his career and worldview.  A passionate Brother with big goals, I’m excited to see him taking an active role in the growth of our fantastic Brotherhood,” National President Tony Pagliocco said. “Expansion is critical to the growth of our organization but by making smart business decisions, I am confident Roy will bring the gift of our Brotherhood to many schools in this term”

Roy now works with teens in an after-school program as a teacher, where he also oversees the youth and government program. Roy has three years of non-profit work, ranging from preventing domestic violence to assisting the immigrant community. His goal is to be able to provide support for students, such as an academic advisor or as a wrestling coach.

“I plan to ensure that any student seeking to join our organization feels a sense of community and validation all while acquiring the tools to succeed in college and after. I am excited to help grow our organization, support students graduate and serve our communities.”
