Seattle, WA – Omega Delta Phi (https://www.omegadeltaphi.com) announced today the hiring of Compliance Officer for the Spring 2016 semester until end of term (August 2018). The Compliance Officer, who is positioned under the Office of Undergraduate Affairs, will serve as an aide to the undergraduates with matters relating to policies, procedures and Constitutional matters. In collaboration with the VP of Undergraduate Affairs, the Compliance Officer will ensure that fraternal matters are not overlooked and proper protocol is followed in every instance.
Omega Delta Phi welcomes, Brother Oscar Chaparro (West Texas A&M University – Canyon, TX 1995) as the first Compliance Officer. Oscar Chaparro comes with a wealth of experience within the Brotherhood, having spent 5 years as a Omega Delta Phi Judicial Board Member from 2006-2010.
“With the addition of Oscar to our team, we will have proper due process for any issue or matter that arises. We will ensure that each case or situation is handled accordingly and Oscar will be the best resource to investigate constitutional and policy abidance” said National Vice President of Undergraduate Affairs Bryan Garcia, “We are fortunate enough to have a previous Judicial Board Member serve on a different branch of our fraternity. Oscar will be a huge asset to our team and the NEC, we will reform and strengthen the paradigms our organization operates by internally.”
“I have sufficient knowledge and experience to fulfill this role and serve the undergraduate body. I have been in several positions to which instructions and guidelines were vital for the day-to-day operations” said Brother Chaparro in response to his new position.
Oscar Chaparro holds a Bachelor’s in Science in Applied Science Technology from Thomas Edison State College, he is a current graduate student working on his Masters in Divinity, from the Oblate School of Theology. He was activated into Omega Delta Phi Fraternity the Fall, 1995.
