The Honorable Knights of Omega Delta Phi have kicked off their Fall semester and many entities have done so by participating in different ways on their respective campuses. The Fall Semester kicked off officially for many institutions this Monday. Some universities began classes last week but the rumblings of Fall Recruitment are already being felt on campuses throughout.

Several of our entities assisted with move-in day as incoming freshmen descended upon dormitories, ready to begin their journeys at their respective institutions of higher learning. Brothers from our Alpha Iota colony at Texas A&M University, Commerce, Alpha Gamma Chapter at the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley, and Omicron Chapter at University of Wisconsin- Parkside all assisted with move-in efforts at their respective campus. Or in the case of Omicron Chapter, at nearby Marquette University which they share Milwaukee with.

Other chapters participated in Welcome Week Activities hosted by their respective University’s Student Activities or Student Affairs departments. The Alpha Chapter at Texas Tech University participated in the President’s Welcome Picnic, while the Midwest Region descended upon Western Michigan University’s Bronco Bash to support the brothers of Beta Rho. The brothers at Colorado State University, Pueblo tabled during their campus welcome week.

At the University of Oklahoma, the Xi chapter kicked off their fall recruitment at the Welcome Week Involvement Fair hosted by their campus. The chapter unveiled their recruitment theme for this fall to much acclaim. The Pi Chapter at University of Houston participated in Cats Back, a welcome week involvement fair open to all students on campus.

On top of welcome week events hosted by each respective campus, other entities utilized the end of summer break and beginning of the academic year to host retreats where they were able to come together, plan out their semester, and engage in team building activities and dialogue. The Beta Beta Chapter at California State Dominguez Hills took to Big Bear Lake, CA to get away from the city and enjoy a weekend of brotherhood and fellowship. The brothers of Alpha Phi at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas left Sin City to Zion National Park where they enjoyed nature, each other’s company, and were able to also strengthen their bonds as a chapter.

Having started school since last week, the top ranked Upsilon Chapter at Washington State University kicked off their recruitment week with a kickball game. The kickball game was one of their official recruitment events as they try to build their Fall 2019 prospective member line.

Brothers kept busy this summer, but now that time has come and gone and Knights nation wide have descended upon their respective campuses to kick off another year of academics, serving their community, and taking care of business.
