Location: Seattle, WA – The National Office of Omega Delta Phi and the Finance Team, led by VP Taylor Baca, has announced the leadership team appointed to the Finance Team for the 2018-2021 administration. The Finance team includes the Finance Operations, Accounts, and Collections. VP Taylor Baca stated “I am excited to see both familiar and new faces on my team. With the progress, we made over the last three years and with the new positions I added this administration I am confident we have a strong team in place to serve all the needs of our undergrads when it comes to Finance.”
Director of Finance, Edwin Correra
Coming back for a 2nd term as Director of Finance is Pi chapter’s Edwin Correra. After serving a substantial portion of the first administration, Brother Edwin is back to continue serving as Director of Finance where he will manage the operations of the finance team and act as program manager of the financial operations.
Brother Edwin crossed in Fall 2002 at University of Houston. He double majored in Accounting and Finance in 2006 and followed that with a Master’s of Science in Accountancy in 2010. Edwin worked in the Oil and Gas industry for nearly 9 years before deciding to pursue a life in business. He currently owns and operates Kreative Photography, 1st Place Awards and Greek Depot. Brother Edwin has plans to pursue a Doctorate of Finance in the near future.
Finance Operations, Johnathan Cedeno
Also returning is Brother Johnathan Cedeno who will assist in the semester financial operations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable for Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc. Cedeno’s focus will be on the organization’s ability to provide quicker, more efficient customer service to national financial needs.
Brother Cedeno crossed into Omega Delta Phi in the Spring of 2011 with the Tau Class at Omicron Chapter – University of Wisconsin – Parkside. During his time as an active brother, he took the positions of Treasurer, Fundraising Chair, and Vice President. He graduated in December 2015 with a double major in Accounting and Business Management, a minor in General business, and a certificate in entrepreneurship. He is currently working as a Mutual Fund accountant for US Bancorp in Milwaukee, WI where his main duty is to produce an adequate Net Asset Value (NAV) for the assigned mutual funds. His desire to get involved while utilizing his talents brought him to the finance team today.
Finance Lead, Michael Lee Garcia
Brother Michael Lee Garcia is a new face to the Finance team where he will be serving in a tactical role providing support of the aggressive goals set by VP Taylor Baca. In his role as Finance Lead, he will be responsible for strategic and roadmap execution of internal team projects and initiatives. Brother Garcia crossed at Beta Mu Chapter in Fall of 2014. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University and is currently working on his MBA at OLLU as well. Having served as an active undergraduate leader for 3 1/2 years in roles such as President, Treasurer, and Recruitment Chair, he now serves as a member of the ODPhi San Antonio Alumni Association.
In this new role, Brother Garcia said, “I am truly blessed and excited to join the National Finance Team and be at the service of the fraternity who helped me grow as a person, student, and brother throughout my undergraduate career. I look forward to improve our team and to help as much as I can.”
After graduating, he was actively involved with OLLU, UTSA, and assisted with the founders program at the University of the Incarnate Word in the spring of 2015. He also worked under the Vice President of Undergraduate Affairs and joined the National Conference Committee to help organize the 2015 San Antonio conference.
Recently, he concluded his term on the Central Texas Regional Board. Kellen first served as the Regional Finance Officer and later promoted to the CTX Director of Operations. He oversaw the regional finance, marketing, and programming chairs as well was responsible for planning the biannual regional conferences.
Kellen has many years of experience in several settings both in and outside the organization, making him an asset to the team.
