Omega Delta Phi Fraternity, Inc.’s Membership Engagement team is happy to announce the appointment of Richard Villarreal for the Director of Academics position. Richard became a brother at Texas A&M University (Delta Chapter)  and is a recent graduate from Texas A&M-San Antonio (Beta Theta Chapter).

“I am excited and honored to serve Omega Delta Phi as the new National Director of Academics,” Richard said. “I am also looking forward to networking with all of our entities to assess our current National Academic Plan and to determine what resources we can provide to ensure their success. “

Richard has been involved regionally and nationally such as the Regional Membership Development Chair for the Central Texas Region. In this position, he oversaw the intake programs for all entities in the region, most notably serving as the Founding Educator for University of Incarnate Word (Beta Omicron Chapter).

Richard said his experience on the regional board has prepared him to take on the new role.

“Monitoring our prospective member’s grades and making sure we were meeting our #1 goal has always been a top priority to me,” Richard said. “While also serving on the National Judicial Board simultaneously, I was able to maintain a high GPA and able to graduate Summa Cum Laude Fall 2019. I hope to bring and apply my academic knowledge to help our undergraduate chapters to not only graduate but to push themselves further in becoming better leaders within our organization.”

Vice President of Membership Engagement Irwin Barcenes also spoke on the appointment.

“With his many years of experience and dedication to improving the organization, I know he will be an asset and a valuable team player to our organization, Irwin said. “He continues to lead by example and shows a strong heart for our organization.”
