Seattle, WA – Omega Delta Phi ( announced today the appointment to the vacancy of Southwest Regional Director for the Spring 2016 semester until end of term (August 2018). The Regional Director is the lead officer for the region, they are responsible for and provide the support, resources, and tools needed for their entities to succeed.

Omega Delta Phi  welcomes, Brother Felipe Avalos (Northern Arizona University – Flagstaff 2012) as the newest Regional Director of the Southwest region. Felipe Avalos comes with a wealth of experience within the Brotherhood, having spent the last 3 years as the Southwest Regional Director of Leadership and Advancement.

“With the addition of Felipe, we will have continuation of the previous RD’s successes and have a steady transition without disruptions to further assist our entities” said National Vice President of Undergraduate Affairs Bryan Garcia, “It’s a big deal, for a current member of Southwest Regional Board to step up and fulfill the role. I have full confidence he will further advance the region and provide his service to the undergraduate brothers”.

“I am ready for this role and want to do my best for the greater good of this brotherhood. I know through hard work and dedication, great change will occur. My plan for the region is to take it to the next level, not only professionally but through strengthening our brotherhood values” said Brother Avalos in response to his new position. 

Avalos holds a Master’s degree in Macro-Social Work from Northern Arizona University and was activated into Omega Delta Phi Fraternity the Spring of 2009.
